Countdown to Impact X!

About

St. Francis Xavier University is hosting the first-ever Impact X: A Summit on Entrepreneurship & Social Change on November 22-23, 2024.

With integral support from the  Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education Scotia, we are inviting 75 post-secondary and high school students from across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to attend.

ImpactX was inspired by the ever-growing synergies developing in the StFX entrepreneurship ecosystem and StFX’s long-standing history and commitment to social change through the work of the Coady Institute and our pioneering experiential learning-based programs.

We identified a gap in the Atlantic ecosystem: while students can pitch ideas in various fora, there is no integrated event for students in all stages of the entrepreneurial cycle to focus on social impact and change. ImpactX is a regional event for blossoming student entrepreneurs to come together to learn from leading entrepreneurs, community organizations, and peer institutions.

The Summit will welcome students from a range of backgrounds, including students with established ventures to those with early-stage ideas and even those who are simply curious about entrepreneurship. The Summit will include inspiring speakers and workshops offered by professional entrepreneurship agencies about pitching, business modeling, networking and raising financing.
