Local Laundry

Connor Curran is a passionate entrepreneur, community leader, and the founder of Local Laundry, a Canadian-made apparel brand known for its commitment to quality, ethical sourcing, and local impact. A 2012 graduate of the Gerald Schwartz School of Business at St. Francis Xavier University, Connor holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Honours, majoring in Leadership in Management, where he also served as Lane Hall President and Senior Class President. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business and Modern Management from the University of Gävle in Sweden, where the inspiration for Local Laundry began.

Connor’s entrepreneurial journey started with just $50 and a Google search, growing Local Laundry into a national brand with a mission to build community and support local causes. After being laid off from his oil and gas job, Connor applied the values instilled by his immigrant parents—hard work and community giving—into his business model, creating a brand committed to high-quality products and a goal of donating $1 million to local charities by 2030.

Under his leadership, Local Laundry has expanded into custom clothing, collaborating with corporations, non-profits, and community organizations across Canada. Connor has also led the acquisition of additional brands, including CDN and WEST, extending Local Laundry’s reach while staying true to its values of quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.

In addition to his work at Local Laundry, Connor serves on the board of directors for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and advocates for community-building initiatives. He recently helped raise over $75,000 for the Jasper wildfire relief, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact.

Connor’s vision includes building a business empire inspired by LVMH, acquiring and integrating clothing brands, vertical service providers, and promotional companies, with a goal to grow Local Laundry into a $50M revenue business over the next decade, focusing on both direct-to-consumer and B2B channels.”
