About

Building on the success of the inaugural summit in 2024, St. Francis Xavier University is hosting once again the Impact X: A Summit on Entrepreneurship & Social Change on November 21-22, 2025.

With integral support from the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education, we are inviting 85 post-secondary and high school students from across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland to attend.

Impact X was inspired by the ever-growing synergies developing in the StFX entrepreneurship ecosystem and StFX’s long-standing history and commitment to social change through the work of the Coady Institute and our pioneering experiential learning-based programs.

We identified a gap in the Atlantic ecosystem: while students can pitch ideas in various fora, there is no integrated event for students in all stages of the entrepreneurial cycle to focus on social impact and change. Impact X is a regional event for blossoming student entrepreneurs to come together to learn from leading entrepreneurs, community organizations, and peer institutions.

Organizing Partners

Impact X is a collaboration between campus partners building a dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem at St. Francis Xavier University.

Partners include the DiscoverBox at the Coady International Institute, the Schwartz School of Business -Entrepreneurship Program, the Bachelor of Education – Business Concentration, the StFX Advancement Department and StFX’s committed alumni network and student societies.

Organizing Committee

For more than ten years, students and staff have worked together to advance entrepreneurship through pitch events, internships, funding initiatives, curriculum, research, and participation in external competitions. Impact X emerged as a forum to support students who want to learn more about entrepreneurship and the opportunities to enact social change.
